Privacy Policy

PixelZen ("we," "our," or "us") is developed by MimicLabs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the PixelZen mobile app.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your display name and email address. When you sign in with email and password, we store your email address.
• User ID. A unique identifier assigned to your account by Firebase Authentication, used to associate your data with your account.
• Game data. Your pixel art progress, completed canvases, gem and orb balances, tool usage, daily challenge streaks, and achievements.
• AI creations. When you use Pix's Workshop, the prompt you type and any image you upload are sent to our AI generation partner, RetroDiffusion, to create your canvas. They're used only to generate your artwork and are stored with your account alongside the result. Your creations are private to you.
• Purchase history. Records of in-app purchases (gem and orb packs) used to grant purchased items to your account.
• Device identifier. Your device's advertising identifier, collected by our third-party advertising partner (Google AdMob) and used for ad serving. If you allow tracking in the iOS prompt, AdMob also uses it to show ads that fit your interests. Otherwise, ads are non-personalized.
• Update identifier. A random, app-specific identifier created by our live-update service (Capgo) so the app can receive improvements between App Store releases, along with your app version and device platform. It is not an advertising identifier and is not used to track you across apps or websites.

How We Use Your Information

• App functionality. To authenticate your account, save your progress, process purchases, and deliver core app features.
• Advertising. Google AdMob uses your device identifier for ad serving. Ads are personalized only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt. Watching a rewarded ad is optional and earns you in-game gems.

We do not use your name, email, game data, or purchase history for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not sell your personal information. If you allow it, we share your advertising identifier with Google AdMob for personalized ads, which some US state laws treat as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time using the choices below.

Personalized Ads and Your Choices

A few ads keep PixelZen free. When you first open the app, Pix asks whether we can show ads that fit you. If you agree, iOS asks for permission to track, and only then does Google AdMob use your advertising identifier to personalize ads. If you decline, ads still appear but are not personalized, and no feature of the app is limited either way.

You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → PixelZen. Where local law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and certain US states), Google's consent form also lets you choose how your data is used for advertising, and a Privacy options link on your Profile page lets you revisit those choices whenever you like.

Third-Party Services

PixelZen uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Google Firebase. Authentication, database, hosting, and cloud functions. Firebase Privacy
• Google AdMob. In-app ads (banner and rewarded). AdMob collects device identifiers for ad serving and, with your permission, for personalized ads. Google Privacy Policy
• Apple. In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive a receipt to verify and grant purchased items. Apple Privacy Policy
• RetroDiffusion. AI image generation for Pix's Workshop.
• Capgo. Live updates that deliver app improvements between App Store releases. Capgo receives a random app-specific identifier, your app version, and device platform. Capgo Privacy Policy
• Google Analytics. Website traffic measurement on pixelzen.art (not used inside the app). Google Privacy Policy

Website Analytics

Our website, pixelzen.art, uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors find and use the site, such as which pages are viewed, the site that referred you, and the general type of device and browser used. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you. Website analytics are separate from the app: no game data, account information, or in-app activity is shared with them. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Anonymous Use

You can use PixelZen without creating an account by tapping "Skip for now." In this case, your progress is tied to an anonymous user ID on your device. If you later sign in, your progress can be transferred to your account.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account). Deletion permanently removes your sign-in and makes the account irrecoverable. Some associated records, such as purchase and transaction history, may be retained for record-keeping and fraud prevention.

Children's Privacy

PixelZen is rated 13+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what is necessary to operate the app. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account and its data directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account), or contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
